Yes, only the main and restricted repositories are supported by Canonical.
The universe and multiverse repositories are supported by the community.

I don't know why you are seeing different durations though. I know desktop support used to be 3 years and server used to be 5, but as far as I know, they have both been 5 years since 12.04.

Community support - unfortunately more a lack of support.

Debian and CentOS do provide support for all packages for their respective life cycles. So it might be wise to run Firejail for the 'Buntus.
