I was playing Rust again and dono, it's not what it was in Legacy.

Anyway, I'm looking for a survival type game again. Must include building, farming for mats, food and the likes with elements of danger in it. Single player or Multiplayer no preference. Any good suggestions of newish type games with this type of theme?

Funcom is making that Conan survival game, i think it launches sometime soon. I'd not keep my hopes up that it's going to be any good though. They havn't been able to make a proper game since anarchy online which they've been neglecting so much that it's damn near deserted. I have to mention that it's the only game i've literaly played for years. My main character is pushing 300 hours.

Edit: I meant my main character is pushing 300 days, not hours.

Check out the following games :

Ark : Survival Evolved
7 days to die
Space engineers
Subnautica
Astroneer (very early access)
Empyrion Galactic survival
Osiris New Dawn

All of them have the same principals you mention and all of them are very good, while some are still in early access all of them are shaping up very well

I think this Conan thing sounds like something to watch. I'll keep an eye on that one.

Ag pittie, just move in here with me in Chatsworth. IRL survival game as soon as you step out your front door.

Subnautica!!!! It is brilliant. Survival with a twist, where you have to o dive to get most of your minerals etc, build submarines, an underwater seabase and and. I was hooked after 20 mins.

Now, this I like :)

How's the Forest? Anyone played it? Or should I just go with DayZ? Never played DayZ but it doesn't have building...bleh.

I bought it after very much deliberation but was hooked from the get-go, very awesome game!! I just would have loved multiplayer!

Its brilliant, it actually feels like a survival game because you have to constantly actually survive. Air supply when away from your base or sub is a very limiting factor and that makes it awesome.

Its brilliant when you concentrate on your oxygen level when looking for research blueprints, and a creature attacks you out of now where! The water setting is very unique and definitely worth the R220 on steam

You could try stardew valley too. It's a indie title but it's one of those success stories. I understand people went bonkers over it.
