Sushi Somerset West

Anybody know of a good place to get some sushi in somerset west?
Been to Blue Waters Seafood and Sushi a couple of times, nice place with good sushi. But want to try something new?

Wine, Woman and Sushi closed down aeons ago (Blue Waters sub-branch)...

There is Wang Thai at c/o Old Stellenbosch & Helderberg College Rds

Then also hidden gems, none which name's I can remember.

Oh that place was really nice.

Yep, I will miss then. At least Somerset West have an authentic Indian restaurant now, Moksh - Authentic Indian Cuisine.

the woolies had good sushi ..saw it last time i was there in the mall across from somerset mall

I received a reply Wednesday, but only noticed it now... She only listed me places to avoid, typical. Looks like Somerset West have a very small sushi signature, the others are related to the standard chain store, many closed down.

I don't know about Pizza Pomodoro, they had a sushi bar (like every pizzaria in SA nowadays) with a wide variety... They used to be at Lion's Square in Main Road at the Spar.

They only have a John Dory's I believe. I never get close to Waterstone Village... The Ocean Basket's in Strand Beach Hotel and Harbour Island have the same owner who have good sushi on the menu, but it is still chain store based. Then there is that SooShee place in Strand at the OK centre… was there once… never again…

Apparently Bossa on main road of Somerset across the police station has really nice sushi as well.

I'm almost too scared to suggest the following place for fear of it being too "Spur like and franchisee" ....

But ... I've had sushi at John Dory and it was quite good.

Haha, in my opinion when it comes down to chain stores in restauranteering, it all depends on the management and ownership. The Spur Corporation actually owns John Dory's and Panarotti's. When it comes down to eating in Helderberg, rather Ocean Basket (in Strand and Gordon's Bay) than John Dory's.
