Suspicious call from Credit database?

Just got a call from some "government" credit database company. According to them every time you apply for an account or finance you agree to the terms that you will be listed on their database. The lady said that my account was flagged due to the interest on one of my accounts, and she wanted to do a free credit report for me to check why it was flagged. I refused to give them any personal details and she just hung up the phone. I haven't applied for any account or finance in the last few years so I don't expect anything there. Has anybody else received such a call? It was from a typical 087 number I expect for spam calls.

Someone either puling a scam or trying to sell something under dodgy pretenses for sure

You can check on most credit history sites who looked at your info and queried it

Thanks, I was thinking of doing a check with one of the known sites.

Checked now with Experian, no adverse information, credit score is good. Don't see any history there that somebody accessed my info though. So the call was probable some scam.
