Suzuki owners

Third world manufactured vehicles destined for a third world country - just a pity we pay first world prices mostly due to taxes ect.

Suzuki's aim when they returned to the country in 2008 though :

Suzuki passenger vehicles destined for the South African market will be produced at the Kosai plant, while all other vehicles will be coming from the Iwata plant. Both these plants are situated in Shizuoka, Japan.

SMC has 31 major overseas assembly plants outside of Japan, as well as 13 overseas sales subsidiaries and affiliates.

You know it is not about where it was made but how it was made.
Mercs are made in East London by people who come from the Transkei.
BMW are made by people who come from Northern Transvaal.
Swifts are made by people who are Indians.

In real terms.. the origin of manufacturer is irrelevant; it's all about the fact that that when you drive the car... just how does it feel when you put foot in the hoek and do you exit the bend with a smile and look forward to the next bend?
More than this: My relationship with the dealer makes me me feel proud that I have a Suzuki.

I'm sure that not all Suzuki dealers are saints. But I have such a great connect that I rate the car and the dealer in great regard.

I also have a Honda and before I've owned many, many different brands; Suzuki just does it for me.

So, whatever blows your whistle, I'm loving this little bit of nosh more than I've liked any of the other brands that have parked in my garage. It just seems to have heart and is a Jack Russel of tjorries.
 
There will come a time where our labour and political issues etc. will cause for the BMW and Merc manufacturing companies of this world to not stay in this country - especially when their sales start to dwindle even more because of the economy and there is no incentive to be here.

It is in their very nature of business to always be on the lookout for fertile grounds for exploitation, I expect them to jump at such an opportunity regardless of our political issues. That is the reason manufacturers would close plants in first world countries with very stable politics and labour.
