I had for some reason inherited this BITS problem unwittingly on Win7 and have been going a bit freaky for the past 10 days, as I could not get my work done.
I live in the Berg (KZN) and rely on my GPRS Vodacom wireless connection which at best runs at 90 Kbps and having to share 100's of Meg a day with MS was killing me! I knew it was SvcHost.exe, but was unsure why I was the only person on Google searches suffering these massive downloads to my machine. I don't mind getting a big download (Music et al! hehe) but not to know WHO TF was pumping me with data was painfull. Everybody else was having maxed out resources issues etc. Well this AM I was determined to find this **** of a ISP (all I could pulse was Vodacom as the last in line IP) and lo and behold, I stumbled onto good old reliable MyBroadband!!! So much for the WORLD of experts out there! Ha ha - South Africans Rule!
