Yes. I have to say that this sounds like the biggest epic stupid plan I have heard of in a long time. Talk about "doomed with a capital "F" "!

ok, since we're on data recovery, do i have any chance of recovering data from a drive which, bios picks up as Seagate model XXX, but shows 0Gb in bios ?
 
Recovery centres can recover data from water and fire damage, im sure they will still be able to recover most of you data even after you have fiddled with the drive
