Registering an account through a US VPN yes. Amazon tracks the IP addresses. Been caught out on Kindle.

Yeah I've done this too. Important part is to buy yourself a gift card, because they also track non-US credit cards. But if you buy a gift card, that's OK.
Of course, this is free, so it shouldn't matter.
(OH, you need a proper US address and dialing code when you register a US account, too. Find them online)

I use a 1 day vpn service, so I pay a dollar or 2 for just one day at a time. More than enough to make a few purchases, and much cheaper than a full-on VPN account with a monthly subscription etc.
