In your mind ...rent free
which one , why and all

is speedo the best ?

or is there others that are good

looking for one around 400-500

its for my kids age 9 and 6 - 9 year old will take an adult one

You get Arena and Second Skin as well.
Our experience has been:
  • Obviously it's gotta be comfy for them, and price is no guarantee they'll enjoy having them on their face. I'm not sure which places offer the ability to try a pair on first, but I wouldn't risk that amount having never tried them on
  • Linked to the above, they must like how it looks, else they just won't want to wear them which defeats the purpose
  • Once they get used to them, they tend to want to wear them in any swimming environment. So parties, water parks, heck those slip and slides even. So it means they go all over the place. So it means the potential for them to get lost is pretty high. You lose R100 goggles I'm pi$$ed; you lose R500 goggles you getting an ass whipping. We now have dedicated swimming gear for each event cos trying to keep track of the dang things becomes a mission. So there's goggles for the school practice and external practice, and then goggles for parties and home use

Arena. Have pretty reasonable entry level for youngsters. But be prepared... they will most probably be lost way before they break.

my kids ones actually not get lost but break

cos they cheap kark the bands break

so need a nice decent one

and yeah no one offers fitment before

My son (9 year old) has a pair of Maxed (Mr Price), he has been swimming 4 times a week (and Gala's) with them for about a year and they held up pretty good.

Like some other comments, cheap enough to replace if broken or lost/stolen. I will probably invest in a better quality pair once these break and I can see he is fully invested.

Same here. Mr Price Sport has some quality ones.

These are solid.

Got a pair of these a few months back, pretty happy with them

Much better than the previous cheepo Maxed ones I had which were always a pain in the ass to get a watertight seal.

perfect will go around to mr price and check R150 is decent for one that can last a while

i just thought maybe invest in a pricey one but yeah if its get lost its cheaper to replace the cheaper ones

Sportsmans Warehouse allowed my kid to try on a couple before we chose one. I knew that if they weren't going to be comfortable or a proper fit he would never wear them, so appreciated that they offered to open up several different brands.

Speedo or Arena. Play around and find a set that fits the face.

If you want your kid to hate you, get them Malmsten. Dirt cheap, loads of street cred, and very effective if you know how to wear them. But they'll rip your eyes out and hurt like hell if you use them wrong.
