This is for all those of you who have been gullible enough to get your flu vaccinations because of "swine flu".

"About 36,000 people in the U.S. die annually from seasonal influenza, and more than 200,000 are hospitalized, according to the CDC."

In fact, ordinary flu makes swine flu look perfectly harmless when compared to it.

Of course, this swine flu hysteria is mostly thanks to the unequivocally informed, rational American public. All of them worried they had "killer swine flu" when all they had was ordinary "killer flu". facepalm/facepalm/facepalm/ goes completely insane with hysterical laughter.
 
A certain drug company, stands to make and sell over a half billion treatment courses for swine flu, if it takes off. Now put a price to one course of pills, and see how much Tammy will make from the Flu.
 
According to the radio this morning the WHO is now saying Swine Flu is a Pandemic.
As far as I'm concerned they're talking out of their buttholes in order to get into the public eye to gain additional funding.

From the very beginning this whole Swine Flu thing has been the biggest load of media sensationalist rubbish.
 
how many of those dying from "conventional" flu are healthy individuals and how many are sick/infirm?

I think it is simplistic in the least to just compare the absolute figures and make such a conclusion. It appears that the swine flu has the ability to kill otherwise healthy individuals if left untreated. However the swine flu scare has made sure that people are well treated if they even suspect swine flu.

What you should be comparing is the rate of deaths/ 100 000 infections or something like that. the large number should take care of averaging out the old/very young and sick.

How many cases of normal flu does america have a year? Millions? Tens of millions? How many swine flu cases have they had?

But I guess you armchair doctors know better right?
 
Please, be aware of the danger but this disease is not some super killer like the Spanish Influenza.
It's just a new slightly stronger strain of the normal Flu we all see everyone around us get each year.
Media Frenzy has made it out to be more then it is. Not facts.
