Switch providers, keep your number

drats, no mention made of non-contract users.
I do the pay-as-u-go thing (or whatever it's called), but loath MTN.
Ofcourse, keeping my number on (for ex) Vodacom would be brilliant.
Wonder if Telkom will do something similar once the SNO is in business ..hmm...

This has silently crept into the light of day. And I think it's very good news.

The delicious irony(for me) is that I will be moving away from the very service provider that is so happy about the change.

At the moment MTN are only letting you change between their service providers so no switching between Vodacom/CellC/MTN yet.

Its a start - sort of - but typically South African - Proudly Half-Assed
 
I think the changing between MTN/Cell C/Vodacom is going to happen at the end of the year....

Slowly but surely SA is getting closer to "reality"
