Switch -> router

Hi I have the following network.


If 1 PC connected to the switch is on and tries to access network resource on the admin PC everything is fine, however if any of the other PC are connected they are dropped intermittently if any of the systems access the network resources of the admin PC.
Could it be 4 PC's to a single Ethernet port is too much for the router?

Router is a: Mega 105 WR
I feel retarded now but the Switch is actually a hub: 3Com 3C16700A.

a hub cannot direct traffic like a switch does, it has nowhere near enough backbone bandwidth to do it.

my suggestion would be to put a switch in, even a small one and see how it goes from there, you will definitely see a boost in performance and speed.
As for the router, those Mega ones were renowned for bottlenecks on the lan ports.....
