Switching from Apple to Android: Please help me choose an Android phone

After many years as an Apple user( primarily because the family likes it) I want to upgrade....The problem is the Apple products are now too expensive imo so I want to move to Android. Can you guys help to suggest and android phone that:
1:has good battery life
2:Is fast (mostly browsing internet email and apps -i'm not gaming on it so that's not a factor)
3: Has a decent camera and video capabilities
Budget around R7000 although this is flexible?
 
I would suggest Samsung over a Huawei now days, I've linked Galaxy A51 at the end for R5999.

Decent Quad camera, fingerprint reader, USB-C charger port, Large screen with small camera punch-out, SD Card Slot, 4000mAh battery, Samsung Pay, Dual sim and most importantly, Google Play store and updates.

I think you'll find Samsung's Smart Switch app a handy benefit to swap your data over from the iPhone too.

Huawei PLC has been banned to access some of Software from US companies
 
I think you will be disappointed with the upgrade/downgrade, so be prepared for that. It's great that there are R7k Androids, but it's not like you will get anything comparable to your iPhone at that price. You will need to pay near iPhone money for an Android that can keep up with the CPU / Camera / build / etc.
A two-year-old iPhone (or high-end Android), will smoke a mid-range Android in most cases.
I would up the budget a bit and look for a new/second-hand last-years S20FE or something.

Lol didn't read OP's requirements I guess? Something like a Poco X3 will tick all the boxes https://www.connecteddevices.co.za/...fc-128gb-6gb-ram-dual-sim-grey-special-import plus he/she will still have beer money left over.

Have you considered the New Nokia phones, they come with Android one which is a pretty pure form of android, and have guaranteed updates for two years.

My 6.1 only cost R3500 a few years ago and I'm still very happy with it.

Their quality went down from their heyday. Have a Nokia 5 here that have network issues.
