Switching handsets (how do I transfer PIN and BIS)

Step by step please. I'm getting an upgrade. Bold to Torch. I want to ensure when I switch from one phone to the other I keep my PIN and BIS?

Your pin is specific to the handset. New phone means new pin.

Transferring contacts, messages, etc is easy to do via your pc using the supplied software.

Just log into the BIS website when you've inserted the sim in the new phone. It will detect it and ask you to verify your email addresses.

Take old phone, connect to desktop manager 6, fo File>Switch Devices, it will backup all your contacts, notes, emails, settings, BBContacts, etc. When promoted connect new handset, it will transfer everything over including all compatible settings, like example your screen brightness setting. Once thats done it will restart and your new handset will be remarkable similar to your old 1, most of your settings should be the same, all your contacts and emails will be there, even most of your installed applications. When i did it the only app that never went over was mxit, but FB/MSN/GTalk/ETC all went over.

It will also update your pin with all your BBContacts handsets without requiring re-invites, they accepted your invitation on your old handet so that authorization transfers over. Then just login into mobileemail and it will detect the new handset and update the push mail route.

Just check your handset and make sure all your apps are over and your done.
