I have broken my VMC and WiFi...
In a fit of brilliance, I downloaded and installed one of those updates that HP send... this was about a broadcom driver update for my WiFi card.
My Laptop took forever to boot until i disabled the wifi card.
Uninstalled the drivers, and the laptop worked fine again.
Now VMC wont see the 3G card (and thus no chance of setting it into GPRS mode when out of town)
AND
The WiFi doesn't work(no warnings in Device Manager)
Even walk-in cust. service at canal walk is 'stumped'
He loaded VMC Lite, sees the card and works fine, but no GPRS....
I have done FULL uninstalls. i.e. all devices as listed by Novatel, and VMC, including directory.
I have been through the postings looking for a way to configure my U740 from 3G only to GPRS only without using the VMC dash.
But no luck
Any suggestions please?
