Hello Chaps :),

I need some clarification on the following please:

1). Which top brands carries a 3 year warranty i.e. Gigabyte, Intel, etc
2). If an item is found faulty during this warranty period, would the client be presented with a new item/s in a box (packaged) with supporting documents, etc thereby proving that the item in question has been replaced by a new item.
3). Should the item/s be replaced with a new one then a new period of warranty begins, yes?
4). What are the terms of replacement/swop i.e. repair first or replace immediately or replace with similar model if not available replace with the next best? &
5). the last question is wide I know but what would constitute or warrant a complete swop or replacement, a few common examples would suffice please.

Thank you all in advance :)

Cannot answer all your questions but Sybaritic told me Gigabyte has the best replacement policy out of all the MB brands they sell. If faulty send it back, they will test it to confirm and give you a new one.

My G31 Gigabyte died last year and I took it back to PC Zone, got a new one the next day but unfortunately it was a slightly different model (100Mbs LAN vs 1Gb) as the supplier did not have stock of the exact same model so I got a credit.

TY Ponder, what about Asus?

Gigabyte is the best bet, I have even swapped out an EOL Gigabyte board before (only because it had a life-time warrenty on it :) ) but ASUS is still good, although they take their time (read : my experience with ASUS GPU incompatible with Gigabyte MB :) )
