Sygnia (help wanted)

I have investo retirement annuity and investo endowment. Can I move both?
RA you can move with the section 14 as you probably already know.

Endowment you cant move between providers, none that I know of, but safe to say no. If you over your term / investment period you can cash it out and move the funds elsewhere. The term should be 5 years. If you start an endowment elsewhere the term starts from zero again and matures in 5 years

The RA yes. Endowment no.

In both cases they need to sell shares. As investo is a momentum product

But you can sell shares or close the endowment, and cash out! And move to sygnia (as in direct), meaning, no RA wrapper

I think I will first try and cash out my endowment and then after hit them with a section 14 after 👀

no section 14 needed for an endowment, just your bank account details.

Once the cash is available, you will see you can buy unit trusts etc via Sygnia also.

Firstly, see what the endowment cost you! Get a statement, and see what you are paying to have it! From there, make a call

I am pretty sure I am getting ripped here  in my investo endowment (Mom Real Growth Property Fund (I) 1.438% p.a

If this is the fund you actually have then thats the correct management fee https://wealth.momentum.co.za/investments/factsheets/momentum-real-growth-property-fund-(a).pdf

For an actively managed fund that fee is perfectly acceptable, and the returns are also inline. No idea what you pay for admin fees but looks like that could be another 1%, which is higher than most other platforms. No idea if you have advisor fees on top of that as well. If you dont have advisor fees and you are in a high tax bracket, you made some good return on this.
