Symbian crashing

The os on 6220c keeps on restarting whenever I receive a phone call whilst having opera/mxit running in the background.

Have you tried updating the phones firmware?

So after updating, my message icon on the standby menu cannot stop flashing?? I'm still receiving messages, etc...

As far as I know, the flashing message folder icon means you have messages stored in your sim card, either copying these messages to phone memory and deleting them stops it flashing.

BTW, easiest way to update (if you don't mind data costs) is to enter *#0000# at standby screen, and go to 'options' then 'check for updates'
