Lets share some cool apps from the OVI store and the rest of the web, preferably freeware. I recently loaded Anna on my Nokia N8 and love it.

State your S^3 phone, and the app name (as well as a link, but ONLY if you didn't get it off the app store).

Here's some of my favorite freeware, all tested on N8:
Sticky Notes
Nokia Big Screen
Shazaam (loaded automatically with Anna update)
Voice Translate Pro (uses google translate API for online translation, ad-supported)
Upcode (QR code reader)
Nokia Panorama
Camera update (for N8 with Anna only, get it from betalabs)
QTorch (uses white screen as torch, as N8 doesn't have LED flash, but xeon)

Games (I'm not big on mobile games...):
Solitarius (ad-supported, but works without connection)
5ud0ku (best sudoku game ever, java app, get it here)

For the homescreen:
Notes Wall
News24 RSS feed using built-in feed reader (see here)

I have an N8-00 too, updated to Symbian Anna. My apps include:
Whatsapp
Ucbrowser(wap.ucweb.com)
Operamini and Opera mobile
Swype
Nokia Sleeping Screen
Nokia Wellness Diary
CameraPro
AccuWeather
Image Designer Touch
Joikuspot Premium
RomPatcher 3(got it from OPDA forums)
Jbak Taskman
WiFi Talkie.
The only games I have on my phone are the Angry Birds (all seasons).
Love my N8, but will convert to Android...as soon as I make up my mind as to which Android phone to get.

Thanks, what do you use rompatcher 3 for?

WiFi Talkie looks awesome. What the range on it? Could people use it when perhaps travelling in two cars to the same location and remain in close visual contact?

I'm also looking at some "remote" apps (eg. phone as remote control for pc & media player). Will post my findings...
Really wish someone would make a proper remote desktop client for S^3. The only two "almost" solutions I found was symRDP (they will probably not update their S60v5 version to S^3) and remoQte (in alpha, currently only remote mouse and virtual keyboard, desktop streaming in the pipeline!).
