Sync rate fluctuations and disconnects

Hey all,

I'm having a bit of a weird problem with my line. Every now and then I lose internet connectivity (I get that question mark icon over my wireless signal bar in the task bar), and every time this happens my sync rate has jumped up from 4096 to 41xx. I restarted the router to get it back to normal and functioning. I haven't left it like this to see if it corrects itself or not (too impatient )

I think the weird thing is that although the line keeps it's sync, I have 0 connectivity.

Other than this, my line is stable as can be. I did have some issues with my SNR margin a while back but since Telkom has come to fix it it hasn't been below 9dB.

I've never seen nor heard of this type of thing before. Anyone?

I had this twice this year so far, as in both times I had the issue for 1 week+. The landline had no dial tone but ADSL worked for anything from 5 minutes to an hour. To get it working again I had to reboot the modem. The sync speed kept changing.
