My router is showing the following: (sorry about the formatting)
Downstream Upstream
Data rate(Kbps) 2016Kb 512Kb
Noise Margin 6 9
Output power(dBm) 124 172
Attenuation(dB) 68 31

Now you can see my noise is just a joke (i am far from the exchange)
I am currently on a 512 MWEB uncapped but the speeds are killing me.
Do you think it would be worth my while to upgrade to a 4mb Uncapped even though i know i wont get the full speed?

With that kind of line attenuation you should not even consider going for 1Mbps !
Btw: why are you syncing at 2Mbps? I think your speed problem is related to an incorrect (too high) sync rate.

I am not 100% sure why i am syncing at that speed. Its always just been like that.
I can get up to 50kb/s so it am quite sure that its 512 that i am getting.
Do you have any suggestions on how to maybe correct it?

Make sure that you're only paying for Telkom 512kbps line rental and not for 4Mbps. I'd suggest that you phone Telkom and ask them to change your sync profile to 512kbps OR ask Mweb to do it for you.

My line showed a rate of 2600 which I thought was way better than 384, after upgrading to 4meg I kept losing sync at 2000 so I asked Telkom to change my profile to 1meg. Stable now & at least faster than 384.

PS my attenuation is like 55.
