Hi

I have a fair amount of traveling over the next 2 months and I would prefer to take a Android tablet rather than my laptop, purely for the fact that it is easier to carry.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to download the emails on my laptop to the Android tablet?

Going forward I would of course also need to sync my emails to both the laptop and the tablet.

Lastly if you have any suggestions on which Android tablet to purchase that would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance.

You can just set up the pop account on your tablet, is should work fine.

Hi Viva

I am would like to put the last 6 months emails onto the tablet. These emails are no longer on the mail server so I can't download them from there, how would you suggest I do this?

Firstly I would suggest you stop using POP :) If the server handles IMAP I don't see why you would want to use POP.

Secondly, what tablet is it? If it's a Samsung tablet you may be able to sync stuff over with Kies. I'm not 100% certain though as I've never really used Kies. Other manufacturers may have similar sync apps. Also what mail app are you using on your PC?

Thanks I will check if I can use IMAP.

I haven't bought the tablet yet, I first wanted to see if this was at all possible. If you have any suggestions on which tablet to buy that would be great - something which is "bang for you buck"

What size? If you are looking for a small 7 inch I would recommend the 2013 model Nexus 7. It's your best value tablet at the moment I would say. Just getting a place that has in stock may be tricky. You can get the 16GB wifi only version from Wootware for just over 3K: http://www.wootware.co.za/usa-impor...d-1920x1200-multi-touch-wifi-only-tablet.html

I think the 7 inch would be the right size. I will check out the Nexus 7. Thanks for all the advice and the link.

No problem. You could also look at a Samsung tablet but I find them a bit overpriced for what you get. They have some benefits though like being more available, so you could probably get one on contract. Samsung also have the Note range, where you get the S-pen stylus which may be something that tickles your fancy.
