Sys time return nil.

Don't want the electricity surges damage my PC, so everytime when I don't use it I unplug the power. But today when I looked at the system time after my PC booted, it's 2007/01/01!! I got a brand new mother board so should not be battery problem which CMOS won't store my time when power is off. Any clues??

Set the date turn off and unplug the PC if it resets again then replace the battery and repeat, it could have been a a dodge battery to start with.
