Hi guys,

I need some advice here please. I find myself in posesion of an Asus P5LD2-VM motherboard. I'm wanting to put an inexpensive system together using this board. What I need to know is which components should I be looking at for this system?

Keeping in mind that this system will not be used for any gaming or heavy processing.

I like the idea of the e6300 processor, but not sure whether this is a good idea or not. Also some advise on the memory type would be useful.

Thanks in advance.

I dont think the straight P5LD2-VM supports Core 2 Duo's, the P5LD2-VM SE and P5LD2-VM DH does support it.

You can put in a Pentium D 805 (2.66GHz Dual Core) or a Celeron 3.2GHz for a nippy little system and 512MB or 1GB (in 2 512MB sticks) of any DDR2 533MHz.
