A vacancy for the role of Systems Administrator currently exists in our IT Department. Based at Head Office in Ottery, the Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the computer systems at Bowler. The following criteria apply:
Background Experience:
· At least 5 years work experience in an I.T. environment
· At least 2 years administering and managing a Windows Server environment (including all network infrastructure)
· Relevant technical I.T. degree(s), diploma(s) and / or qualification(s)
· MCITP certified advantageous
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
· Sound technical knowledge of networks, server applications and desktop disciplines
· Knowledge of and skills in helpdesk and end-user support troubleshooting
· Strong knowledge of and staying up to date with, I.T. best practices
· Approachable with good interpersonal skills
· Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
· Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
· Utmost integrity and professionalism
· Flexible and reliable
· Self-motivated with good personal management skills
· Attention to detail and desire to maintain quality
· Valid Driver’s Licence
Key Performance Areas:
· Manage PC infrastructure (Hardware and Software)
· Manage server infrastructure (Hardware and Software)
· Administration of security, storage and backups
· Help Desk Administration
· Systems administration and maintenance (Network – LAN and WAN)
· Technical support, fault resolution and user training
· Administer daily operations of department
· Complies with and helps to enforce standard Bowler Metcalf I.T. policies, practices and procedures
· ICT asset management administration
