What do I need to know to get this job?
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience (BSc Comp Sci, BCom, IS, IS Diploma)
• 10+ years’ experience in IT industry
• 6+ years Systems Analysis experience
• Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes
• Previous development experience is beneficial
• Exposure to SharePoint (beneficial)
• Agile/Scrum experience (beneficial)
• TFS experience (beneficial)
• Drivers Licence (and own transport)

What will I do every day?
The Systems Analyst is the individual who will have primary responsibility to effect, analyze, validate, manage, specify and verify the exact needs of the Product Owner and Manager. The BA will serve as a conduit between the Product Owner and the software development team through which the project requirements will flow. The Systems Analyst will produce outline designs of IT requirements, specifying the data, files and logical operations the system will perform.

• Work with the Product Owner to fully understand requirements and their technical implications
• Translating requirements into detailed Functional/Technical specifications: Capture requirements, create mock-ups
• In conjunction with the Product Owner, create the necessary stories to support the Scrum approach
• Work with development team members to ensure that the specifications are fully understood
• Engage and educate developers on business context of a feature
• Examine existing business processes, identify gaps in processes, opportunities for improvements and automation
• Work with Technical Lead/Architect to verify accuracy of proof of concepts
• Identify and implement necessary analysis tools
• Liaison with multiple internal business units to assist in understanding and applying best practice usage to the product (Support, IT Operations, Customer Success, Consulting)
• Engage with QA Team to help develop detail test cases, scenario-based test scripts and develop test data in support of Acceptance Testing
• Understand and use SharePoint experience to offer up best practices and solutions
• As part of the requirements review process, discern SharePoint vs. other technology offerings and recommend alternatives to meet business needs
• In conjunction with the Product Owner and the Release Management Lead, establish and maintain an internal SharePoint site in which requirements documentation is stored in a structured manner
• Assist in troubleshooting application issues; document findings, and collaborate with technical administrators to implement solution/fix
• Manage traceability from concept through deployed solution validation
