hi all.i've just come back from the uk where i was on the t-mobile network using my samsung d900 phone.i'm now using mtn on the same handset and i'm experiencing problems with my java applications which require the internet.these are m.x.i.t and opera mini.i am able to access my mtn home page and i was able to download those applications but they dont work instead i get an error msg from operamini and mxit.my phone menue still has the web n walk and t-zones icons.are there any suggestions on what i should do?i was thinking on the line of getting the south african version of the d900 software reloaded but i dont know where to get it done.

If it has been branded in the UK, it's full of all the settings for the UK, like Orange/Tmobile/Vodafone all taking up space. You need to go into the internet/data settings on the phone and delete everything you find there and start again with local ones.

thanx,i went on the net and got some reset code*2767*3855# which wiped out all my data including the t-mobile internet settings(fortunately i had backed up) and i got new settings from mtn and now my java apps work:D

i hate branding, we should be free to roam anywhere we want and be able to use any network we want. With out any hassel.

Also try a master reset, the code is 0000 0000

Hi The reason is that your gprs apn in the handset is set to Tmobile's apn and master reseting the phone will just reset it to Tmobile's original setting, Duh try changing it under connections GPRS the Apn is internet.
