T1 line

Hello !

I have few questions.

I need to install T1 network. I have no experience ,but I need to do it .

I am going to use Cat5 cable

for T1 I need to use White Blue / Blue - White Orange and Orange. Is the picture right .What I need to do ?

Next question. How the buttset works ? - I need to attach red clip to the tip and black clip to ground or ring ?

How is troubleshooting with it .

Who is your provider and which service do you have from them? Which router make/model do you have?

T1 is usually a pure digital service with no phone service and you can't connect a butt to it unless they somehow have the phone service overlayed on top of it. Are the above pictures an accurate representation of what you have on site? I ask because a T1 would usually require additional electronics NTU or router with T1 port and the NID in the picture is a passive device for simply terminating wires.

In the picture you posted above unplug the top modular plug & test jack an plug a normal phone into it, should get dial-tone and be able to make calls.
