T9600 vs E8400

Hi Folks,

Need some advice please. I have a choice between these two systems. I'm not too concerned about mobility etc. I just want the strongest processing power.

If commenting, please elaborate on other matters I need to take into considerations that I might have missed.

Desktop Core2Duo E8400; 2GB RAM

or

Laptop Core2Duo T9600; 3GB RAM

Why those 2 systems in particular?

The E8400 is most definitely the stronger/faster CPU.

The E8400 is most definitely the stronger/faster CPU.

It is the 2 available at the office. I'm using the E8400 at the moment, but they want me to start using the Laptop. I'm not keen on "downgrading".
