Tabasco Sauce Thread

im not a chilli sauce fan ..they both thin and have that vinegarry burn taste for me
Fair enough.

You can taste the tomato paste within chicken licken, they also use cayennes peppers.

Is it just me or is the green one hotter than the red one?
IMO, it can also depend on your tastebuds. I generally take red one so chances are that red is hotter.

p.s. Google says this

Tabasco Original Red uses tabasco peppers (30,000 to 50,000 Scoville heat units), landing the red sauce in the 2,000 to 5,000 SHU range. Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce uses jalapeños (2,500 to 8,000 SHU), and that dilutes the spiciness down to 600 to 1,200 SHU

I do tend to agree.

There's this sauce thing we buy from Bem Bom, that I swear is the hottest thing I've ever had, and the Chinese will drink it like milk.

Keep in mind that before I converted her, the hottest thing she'd ever had was black pepper.

And I make hotter sauces myself that she cannot handle, so it's a weird.

Will give bem bom thing a try. I put home dried habanero chilli powder in curries and that is hottest I have tasted so far.

black pepper, ground and put liberally in soups can sting like crazy - even more than other chillies but it depends really. Wife tolerates black pepper more than me and I tolerate green chillies more than her.

My wife burns from green chillies, but handles reapers fine it’s the weirdest thing.
