I've seen a few cheap tablets I can use as a remote control - but anyone know a model with a docking station / wireless charging?

I tried the app on 3 Android devices and both with Android 6 failed - so maybe something before 5

You not going to find the cheapies with docking station, however, you may find generic docking stations, i am not sure.

It's got a docking station but was hoping for something similar at 7" or so

You need a tablet with an ir blaster in order to use it as a remote for example most LG tablets have one.

I have a IR blaster.

But I'm using an app on WiFi, so it works. My current tablet is too large and on Android 6.0 (app doesn't seem to work - unless anyone else on 6.0 wants to try it out?)

So I want to go smaller, older version of Android - but I don't want to plug it in everytime. A dock, or charger, or wireless charging seems far better

Let us know if you find anything suitable. I'm quite interested in purchasing something like this myself.

What app are you using.
I was using RemoDroid but since the update it doesn't work anymore.

Called Logitech Squeezebox Controller.

I have a Squeezebox running Tidal and use a phone to control it right now.
