Just having a look at Incredible Connection brochure for the weekend and quite a few interesting things going on in the tablet side of things.

3G iPad 2's on Vodacom data contracts with mymeg 500 :wtf:

16gb R379pm
32gb R429pm
64gb R469pm

Also the Acer A500 32gb is going for R3999 (no 3G)

But the biggy for me, 2 different sized Sansui tabs with 3G which look quite decently spec'ed for the price. A 7" for R1999 and a 10.1" for R2999. Obviously no idea of the quality of the thing, but both models are 3G, FroYo, with USB and SD slot.

Serious competition for the Ideos slim 7 I'd say, and basically good news in the war against the stupid pricing of Samsung etc.

Here's the link to d/l the brochure, and no I don't work for them :D

Also saw that, read a review on the Acer a500 (bulkiness puts me off)
Sansui , could not find any reviews so dodgy..

I'd never heard of the Sansui tabs before so maybe brand new on the market. But excellent prices will mean good sales in SA at least. And I'm sure most folk will look at the Galaxy on the same page for R7399 and laugh.

Must be worth a punt for the price.

Persoanlly I'm very intrigued by the Vodacom deal on the Galaxy Tab 8.9....

R299pm with 500meg data.

Anyone know what those Sansui tabs screens are like? Specifically in bright sunlight? We're looking around for a cheap tablet, but it needs to be used outdoors, and when I had a look at incredible connection over the weekend I battled to even get the salesman to plug the darned things into the charger to see what they looked like in the shop, let alone take one outside for a look...

In fact any feedback on any tablet in bright sunlight would be appreciated.

The Sansui tablets are basically rebranded ChinaTabs (I think thats what they're called)... I'll have a look see what they look like in sunlight when I get home later...

Which one did you buy and what do you think of it so far?
