So my dad told me he was getting one of those digital photo frames so he could easily load photos of his products to be able to show clients. I had to tell him that they aren't meant for that purpose, which is why they need to be plugged in. So he was really disappointed with that. I said I'd take a look to see if there's a cheap tablet out there (it really isn't going to be used for much more than a picture/video viewer so something like an IPAD would be a waste of money and tech).

I see on bid or buy there's this google epad thing and it seems pretty cheap. Would that fit the bill?

I guess a little netbook would also do the trick.

Any thoughts?

Agreed get a cheap netbook, or even better a cheap laptop.

If all you want to do is show off products its not worth it to look at tablets.

But if the price is up around that then, I mean, maybe it's better to get a secondhand ipad and maybe I can throw some cash in and use it when the company isn't. What are the data bundle prices like on Vodacom?

What are those isonic android devices going for?

Spoke to my dad and he's quite keen on a second hand ipad 1. Would we able to connect it to the router's wifi for an MWEB uncapped account? Is the single connection limitation on uncapped accounts only for actual lines or, if I can do it, would I have to remove the PC connection first?

The single connection limit is per line ( unlimited PPPoE connections )

Note: iPad wouldn't use a second connection as it only supports routed connections through WiFi

Great stuff. Thanks!
