Stalker much?
I have been really debating getting a tablet in lieu of a laptop as it will mostly be used for media consumption.

But now the question arises whether to get a versatile 7/8" device which is easily carried around, like a note 8 or nexus 7.
Or to go with the bigger Samsung note 10 option.

As it can be seen I really like the Samsung skinning of android, any comments while be welcomed

Get the Samsung Note 10 2014.

I have a 7" and a 10", and although the 7" is nice for reading books and portability, the extra screen size of the 10" tablets is great.

But consider what you are going to use it for.

A 7" is better if you are standing in the queue at the supermarket.

I have a 10 and a 7" at home.
The 7" works great for ebooks, games, facebook, browsing etc.
The 10" is better for media, movies, comics etc.
If you have any plans to use it as a note-taking tool or such at work - get the Note 10.

I enjoy my 7" because I can take it anywhere in my handbag. I mostly read on it. And play Plants vs Zombies...
Movies are ok on it but something bigger would be nicer. Mostly its the convenience of carrying it around that's nice.

I have the Nexus 7 and a (now broken) Acer A500 (don't buy Acer if you want after sales support), and as with everyone here I have to agree:
- 7" Great for reading, carrying around when out and about; decent for movies (on a trip, etc)
- 10" Great for movies and browsing (I personally found it a bit difficult to read on, it's just too big for an e-book reader)

So if you can, get both :P

You can look here to buy, they seem to have great prices, and as far as I know they're a reputable brand:

Note 8, it's the perfect balance between everything. I personally find a 7" screen a bit small for things like browsing, but the note 8 screen is just that little bit bigger, and that little bit makes a bigger difference than you realise. It's also got the S-pen, which the nexus does not. Note 10 is also great, but imo the Note 8 has the portability going for it. You should also (just) be able to hold it with one hand, versus the Note 10 which you might need two hands for. Best is to go find a shop that has both, and then just look what screen size looks good to you.

I have the 7.7" Samsung tablet (close as dammit to the 8"), and still find it small for general use.

I prefer a 10" for newspapers, movies, etc.

Odd sub forum to ask a tech question.

You've answered your own question. Media watching = bigger screen is better. Has anyone ever wished they could watch a movie on a smaller screen?
