Tableview area exchange upgrade complete around Feb2013?

It seems like the Telkom network is not holding up with the weather! They need to invest alot of money into their network soon, very soon!
 
Just spent about 45 minutes talking to Telkom to get them to up my profile to 10Mbit as they have recently installed a bunch of new MSANs in my street. After being transferred multiple times (95% of the technical support staff are bloody useless) I eventually got through to somebody that told me they are still working on the project in my area (Table View) and completion is set for 28th February.

One more month :D I have been waiting a while!

They are on schedule still apparently for the new product launches (VDSL services) for March 1st. Telkom have been very active in the area over the past few weeks, see them working on the new MSANs every morning (even on the weekends).

Getting excited now, saw them busy pulling cable from our old distribution box to the new MSAN. For once I will be happy if our internet goes down now :D

Mine has actually been excellent, albeit max speed only 4Mbit.

EDIT: Oh and on the flipside our office (also in Table View) has shocking ADSL, but I believe my flat and our office are connected to different DSLAMs.

I'm currently on one of the new sunningdale exchanges near the hospital, getting 10mbps easy, modem reports capable of up to 17mbps.

Interwebs be moving :) , took long enough though.
 
They are still 3-6months until the Fruit and Veg(think it's Woolworths now?) since March for VDSL upgrade (20/40mbps). Sadly I am in the area in front of Bayside, but at least I finally got 10mbps enabled for just over a month now. I know quite a few neighbors wanting to upgrade to 20mbps, the longer Telkom takes, the higher chance they will look for alternative means.

I am near the fruit and veg (now Woolworths) and have upgraded to VDSL 40Mbps

Well my area was not even on the 3-6 month roll out window.
I registered my interest and 3 weeks later I was able to get VDSL.

Not sure if it was just a coincident.

When you input your phone number what speed does it say you can get?

10mbps, I was able to sync around 14, but had some line issues and dropped it to ten. They should be sorted out now, but there is no point right now asking Afrihost to bump it up if you have seen their thread.
