Tabula Rasa - Worth buying?

Ok so i took a look at some movies/trailers from Tabula Rasa and red a few reviews about it. I am a mmorpg fan and i am wondering about TR. Now i red from some1 who also made a topic about TR and he said that he played it on a 56k or something, and it didnt lag until there was ppl around him. Now i just want to find out... is the server really that stable and reliable? And if i pay $10 pm or whatever... will i keep playing the game? what im trying 2 say is that if i pay for 3 months or something... that i wont be bored after the first month, and so forth and so forth any feedback will be appreciated

I play on 64k ISDN

Been playing for a month now and I can honestly tell you (from my perspective, having played many many MMORGS) that it is the most fun I have ever had. It is fast and definately not boring, even the parts where you have to grind (most notably 29.5 - 30) are fun and varied.

The people in my clan are also mostly older gamers (both in MMORG experience and age ;-p) and they all agree that this is a ton of fun.

The game is stable, the population (for now) is high. Be warned that it has just been released so things are changing rapidly. I enjoy that, I have never joined a MMORG at or close to its launch so the feeling is novel and exciting for me.

Buy it, play for a month on the free time, at the end of the month, see if you want to continue.

Come join us on Centaurus, do a /who Irador, /who Darksies, /who Gees every so often and join our clan FoA.

Be warned, DONT clone at level 5 ;-)

My 3g is crawling along at best here in Midrand under the Vodacom Dead site. So my hopes of playing that game is off limits it seems unless I can get a copy to use offline if that is at all possible.

What intrigues me is the name itself. A Tabula Rasa is an Eastern term for a newborn child or a master of life itself. In both cases they live completely in the moment of NOW as I am endeavouring to do myself.

Everything happens in the NOW. The rest is just trimmings to keep our minds occupied. I think I said that in my profile

Can you get this game on a cd?

Current game client is about 4GB. With that installed you have 2 patches first one of about 450MB and second about 40mb is I remember. Also next patch is propably in on mon/tue no clue what size.

Join the EU server Centaurus and then give us a shout. So far we've managed to rope in every SA player that we could find, bar one that was really into RP and wanted an RP clan. If you log tonight, give Irador, Gees or Darkskies a shout for a chat or invite. We tend to be online from about 7:30 or so.
