Hi Guys,

So along with my shiny new car came a shiny new tracking device. I opted for the more expensive unit (with GPS and early warning) as this seems to excite the insurance companies.

When taking delivery of the car I was handed a little blue remote and told the following:
- if the car sets off without this unit the alarm is triggered.
- if the panic button is pressed the alarm is triggered.
- if the car stops (while running) and the unit is removed the alarm is triggered.

Thus far I have managed to recreate all of these by accident and every 1 out 10 times the tracking company would drop me an sms. In 3 months I have only once gotten a call....

I don't know if I am being daft or what but that to me is not the definition of early warning? What happens if my car is stolen in the middle of the night and I maybe get an SMS? Ignoring the SMS does not prompt a call back... They will only know the car is gone once I report it to them which defeats the whole purpose of the premium price.

I am with Matrix (they such all the balls possible) and I have had the remote replaced. What is your experience?
