Anyone able to comment. How good is TAILS exactly for anonymity. Any weaknesses etc. Not looking to do illegal stuff just curious.

Ask yourself:
Who are you trying to hide from?
What are their capabilities?
What are the risks you take when doing whatever you're doing?
Is the additional protection worth the hit to productivity/convenience?

If you're trying to hide stuff from SO/family you will have a different threat model than hiding from the Government, for example.

Tails is great, but never rely on software to protect you if you have a genuine threat...

Also look at Qubes, Whonix and SubgraphOS
