I purchased a Romoss Sailing 5 unit last week and was promised delivery by Wednesday 29/10/2014
When I didn't receive my delivery as promised and upon query, I was told the unit was out of stock (?) and given a R50 voucher towards my next order.
I was promised delivery by Monday 03/11/2014 at the latest.
It didn't arrive.
I just received my order (Tuesday 04/11/2014) that was supposed to have been delivered 6 days ago.
Upon opening the package I'm surprised to see a Sailing 4 unit inside a Sailing 5 package!
Did they try to dupe me as the Sailing 5 was not in stock?
Even as I search now, it's not available from them!

Yeah probably a Romoss issue. Not a takealot issue.

I've only ever had good experiences with Takealot. I'd agree and contact Romoss to see what happened...

How could takealot so blatantly and deliberately deceive you ! What unspeakable evil !

ok just got a call from them after I emailed a copy of this post!
Will source the correct unit and discount it to 50% and let me use the current unit until received.
BTW- why should I contact Romoss when I paid Takealot? It's their stuff up not mine.

This is such a south African mindset. (Just contact the retailer...)

In the US, it's straight back to the manufacturer.

Takealot only sells the product, they don't make it. If it came sealed how is Takealot responsible for the wrong product.

because Romoss just sends takealot a package. Takealot don't pen and look at all the packages. They just forward them on.

How is it Takealot's stuff up if Romoss sent them the wrong package?

Use your brain man.

He entered into an agreement with Takealot, he should take it up with them.

It sounds like you got a favorable outcome.
But yet you still have an issue with Takealot?

It's not Takealot's responsibility to ensure the correct item is in the box clearly labelled Sailing 5.
Did you expect them to open the device to be sure? Because then you'd be demanding a refund on an opened product.

Fine, but automatically assuming that takealot hasn't got better things to do than worry about his igsignificant package is idiotic.

Cos I paid Takelot - use your brain man!

So you're saying that of the thousands of packages takelot delivers everyday they decide to only deceive you specifically?

god you're an idiot.
