I know this isn't new behavior but I found it interesting anyway.

Yesterday I purchased a cheap Maxell 120gb SSD at R399.
Today I click on the same drive in my order and it's R838.

Fire sale (lol) started today and it's listed at R649 (was R799 apparently)

So what does fire sale mean?

Obviously sold by different retailers (retailer name is shown on each product, duh) , my point is, just pay attention to pricing as a whole on Takealot, no matter what you buy.

Different sellers, different prices. Considering takealot does not make the pricing for 3rd party items, you going to have wildly different pricing on some things.So not exactly sure what your point is.
