No worries, they will use robots in South Africa.

Most exciting part about Amazon is that they print and bind books themselves in various markets - hopefully they do it locally here too. For those who prefer a physical book it’s great.
 
Yeah I think you’re confusing growth with competition.

Growth means taking over the market and becoming the leader. That was always what business was about. Growing your business to become the dominant leader in the market and buying out and crushing competitors. Generating huge income which not only benefits the company and its investors, but also the country in terms of tax revenue. When you start preventing this, there is no incentive for a company to grow nor for investors to invest in.

Did you read the concerns of third party sellers at all?
 
Businesses will always seek to distort the market and kill off competition. They'll also always try to hide or divert their income to avoid having to pay taxes. Proper regulation and monitoring is vital to stop them from keeping the market from being truly free.

Sits patiently awaiting for Amazon to come in and free us from the likes of Takealot, Makro, Incredible Corruption etc etc etc.
