Hi Guys !

Two days ago ( 6 December ) I've purchased a Dell 27inch Screen listed for R3099 along with some other item for trading.

Today ( 8 December ) I've received an email saying that the supplier is " out of stock " for the screen but when you click on the item its still available to purchased but now listed at R4600.

Should I take it up with them or let it slide ? Any advice ?

I'm sorry. This was a recent code update where we detected you tried to buy something and it will now be listed as out of stock to relist at an increased pricing.
 
Looks like a 3rd party seller and delivery within x number of days, so not really in-stock at Takealot?
 
Yup. The original seller couldn't fulfill so now you get another one. Not a scam but a shitty flaw in their business.

Maybe the supplier told them it is out of stock?

Edit: Had the same recently but by the time they credited me the item was in stock with a different supplier at a lower price.
Ordered it, when it arrived I decided it is not the quality I was expecting so logged a return.
Was collected and refunded the next day.
They scammed the **** out of me :crying:

Is the 3rd party reseller of the old product and the new product the same 3rd party reseller0 Or is the seller Takealot themselves?
 
Had the same thing for a Dell keyboard. Supplier out of stock apparently. I log in and check they have stock at an inflated price by the same seller.
