Takealot has announced the launch of a new instant-delivery pilot in Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Cape Town called “Get it Now”, powered by TakealotNOW and fulfilled via Mr D.

South Africa’s largest online retailer said consumers can now receive their orders in minutes with the new service.

They can't even deliver on their TakeALOTMore "get it today".

I placed an order where everything was showing as "get it today"... On Monday... after payment it shows as "delivery by 9th December". I logged a query asking why my order was delayed by a week even though everything was showing in stock in JHB and "get it tomorrow"... They replied like 10am the next day saying they would follow up with the team and give me feedback. More than 24 hours later still no reply/feedback. It's taken longer to get an answer than what it was supposed to take (from what they lead you to believe) to get my delivery.

Placed an order this morning for some dogfood and tile cleaner and it took 15min to get the delivery
