Takealot vs Makro - Tech price comparison

The most significant price difference of the products we compared was for a 65-inch Samsung Real 8K Smart Neo QLED TV. Takealot sells the TV for R53,999, while Makro’s price is R16,000 higher at R69,999.

Those are two different TV's.

The Samsung 65-inch QN700C Real 8K Smart Neo QLED TV you guys list for R53,999 on Takealot is the 7th gen. Makro is selling the 8th gen, so that price comparison isn't fair at all.

10 items is not much of a sample rate to make a fair comparison. Take 50 items at least to paint a better picture.

That's poor research by Mr Prior there then

@Jan, Something very wrong with this article. Two biggest price items with the most difference.

The Ecoflow on Makro is a third party seller so not quite fair.
The TV - the only 8k R69,999 Samsung 65" 8k Smart NEO QLED tv on Makro is a QN800C? I'm no expert on TV models but I'm sure there's a difference?

Edit: Looks like I'm late to the party.

Takealot model number: QN700C
Makro model number: QN800C

It's not even the same TV!

Looks like MyBB is poaching jounalists from @TopAuto
Fairly certain this article was written inhouse - as in takealots house.

We recently shopped for a TV for my mom-in-law. Went and had a look at Hirsch, seemed a little expensive, went on takealot, was about R1000 cheaper. Drove around the corner and Makro was a further R600 cheaper and we took it home. Now this was an older model, wasn't the fancy Qled one but I think it is always worth shopping around.

People still shop at Makro?

with standards so low how does the staff writers manage to still dissapoint.
there have been a few actually good articles lately and now this.
