Good Day All

About 2 months ago I bought an S24 and last week the sim card just stoped working (Couldn't access banking apps, sms or any call information). I tested the sim in a different phone and it worked. I decided to return the phone to takealot for a refund or replacent and my return was declined because the phone had a scratch / dent on the bottom corner according to them.

No idea how this would effect the phones technical issue anyone ever had an inceident like this ?

That's a repair, only if they can't repair can you request a refund or replacement

You scratched a phone and now you want a new one? Tell them to repair it and they will. It’s what you are entitled to.

you cannot return a device for refund that has physical damage, no matter where it was purchased from.

I have requested a repair which was also declined. Matter has now been escalated

Are both sim slots not working?

Just take it to Samsung with the proof of purchase

My friend had the exact same problem and they fixed it in 3 hours. The repair centre was in Maitland, CT

Very obliging people

Oh the love of repairing a Samsung phone. You can take it to a Samsung outlet or an actual repair centre. Have fun! Expect it to have an issue on a regular basis and also note that when they repair, it isnt water or dust resistant anymore, the glue they use suck.

If you want to save money on repairs, just learn how to fix it yourself. Every. 12. Months. Like. Clockwork.

I'm waiting for some Returns fun and games on a HP piece of **** printer I just sent back.

Has printed maybe 20 pages since I bought it last year August and now suddenly will not do anything, just starts up in an error state and tries to print a calibration page and then fails.

Where it gets wonky is that I was happy to go directly to HP for warranty...but they reckon it expired in April...although I only bought it in August.

Of course I moered the box away just a couple of weeks ago not knowing the thing would **** out so now it's gone back for a Takealot return in a different box and I'm waiting for them to tell me that's the reason they are rejecting it at which point I'll bring up the fact the warranty wasn't possible with HP directly.

I thought some or other law had changed where you no longer had to return a product in its original packaging so long as you had all the original equipment/parts it came with?

Yeah it shouldn't be applicable...but they state this is required for a return which would make sense if it was like a week after purchase instant return because I don't like it or whatever.

In this case it's entirely ****ing useless to me, so I'm hoping they simply test it out and find it the same and say here you go take your money.
