Does it not make more sense to buy a high end PC once, and then replace whatever needs replacing as you go along?
I think you'll find that that's what most of us would do. But I was asking the OP seeing as he absolutely wants to go high end.No. I believe in buying where the price/performance sweet spot is. It's usually at the point just before there is a big jump in price when looking at the next model up for most components. I use this as a base to upgrade from later on so i always stay within that sweet spot.
What if something breaks?
Warranties are usually only for 2 years.
I might be biased because I don't like borrowing money, so I would say, rather do it the other way around. Save R450/month in an interest bearing account and buy a new pc every x years.
