Hey guys,

So I've got a cab that I don't like. It's not powerful enough for me. Brio Sedan 1.2 i-vtec.

My parents seem to be interested in buying the car for me, but that might be too expensive. How would they go about taking over my car payments?

The car has to be completely re-financed in their name, unfortunately - unless you leave it in your name and let your folks pay you every month.

If you leave it in your name, you will have difficulty getting finance on another car, as the bank immediately sees you as over committed.

Yes it would, however, you must always work back to what the combination of the two cars will look like to the bank. They will go roughly to 25% of gross.

Why did you buy the Brio in the 1st place if you dont gran the car (cab)?

Gran the car?

I bought it because it is nippier than what my Corsa lite was and about 2x more fuel efficient.
I hate having no power in 4th & 5th gears.

besides the power what else so bad about the brio?

did you get the turbo diesel one? that should have some grunt.......

still dont see why people hate the brio, the hatchback or sedan, seems like a great car,

Don't get me wrong, I love it in town.

Open road, not so much.

Is the tdi available in RSA?

Should be, its originally made for india,
Heard from one honda dealer, best way to get power from a vtec engine is to rev the pants off of it,

Second set of valves only opens at 5500-6500 rpm,
Of course fuel consumption will suffer, but the one dealer i spoke to who actually has one,
Says the engine is very split personality, need to abuse it to get it to wake up.....
Like any honda engine i suppose.
