Talk is cheap, unless you're using Telkom

“We are convinced that further competition will intensify services competition, drive up broadband penetration, Internet connections, remove access constraints and eventually bridge the digital divide. This will also enhance international market competitiveness,” Matsepe- Casaburri told the conference.

SO WHERE IS THIS COMPETITION IVY ?

Although most industry players expected this week’s colloquium on telecommunications costs would be no more than a talk fest, some hard- hitting proposals were made by government officials and regulators.
You mean it wasnt just another 'talk fest' then? (confused  )
Last time I checked 'proposals' were all just talk (as usual) and absolutely nothing has changed. They proposed to licence the SNO years ago remember. Maybe this is to soon to judge the outcome of these ever so wonderful colloquiums, but when is a good time then, 1 week, 4 weeks, 5 years time?
Until there is significant and noticeable reforms in our telecoms industry, these proposals are all just hot air and nothing more.
To quote Mr Padayachie 'Talk, after all, is cheap' unquote. So heres an idea, how about actualy doing something for a change.

Politcal BULLSH!T

Like I said in another post, just the same old lipservice from officials.
I don't believe this bull anymore than I believe pigs will migrate to warmer climates during winter by flying.
Show me something which is changing my life in telecoms, not something these @sses say will be happening.
The time for talking is over. If Ivy doesn't (a) know what to do (b) do something, then she needs to be fired.
