Can someone tell me how to talk to a real person at MTN support? I have tried different combinations after phoning 135 but no luck.

I did send them an email with my issue, but I received a reply that I must phone 135:X3:

You will have better luck sending them a DM on one of the social media channels like Twitter - I always get a response there.

I have sent them numerous email and don't get a response.
Tried to report a case of fraud over the weekend but they are only only available from Monday to Friday.
MTN are pathetic.

The number you dialed is not available at present....................

Go onto their website and check when your contract is available for a upgrade, get the date and sign out.
For the next month or so you will get calls from them almost daily trying to sell you a early contract renewal and they will not leave you alone, oh yet and they are "humans" if you can call them that as their IQ is lower than the Rand at present.

Good luck with MTN -- I logged a complaint with ICASA, ,...as I was getting fokol/zero support from MTN + the external sales proivders...to resolve my query. from their Call Centre, to social media ....fokol/zero.... Always articles floating around about network quality, speed...time to do a customer support comparative ... MTN is the worst, all you get is " we do apologize..."

Counting down the days to cancel with them. It's a real pity as they were decent at one point. Their systems are a disjointed mess at the moment

@BBSA they have made it neigh impossible to speak to anyone, it's intentional and waaay out of line but there's little you can do, MTN must be run but total scumbags at this stage.

The only way I could talk to anyone was to use the menus to get sent through to retentions or blacklisting and then once someone picks up there you ask them to redirect your call to the suitable department. Keep in mind some options won't be available if you call from a prepaid sim card, I had to always call from my contract sim or else you don't get options like retentions etc.

Just stop paying. They will send a Human to come talk to you.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Initially, I had considered switching to MTN, but after assessing their performance, I've decided against it due to the lack of satisfactory services.

When MTN works it works great, I have had very little issues with them for the last 6yrs or so on that side of things. But if you need to sort out things like billing its a nightmare. The MTN walk-in centres are still very helpful, that seems to be the only way to really get helped by them.

My primary issue is that WiFi calling isn't working. I made a visit to a MTN shop for assistance, but their knowledge on WiFi calling appeared to be minimal.

i dial 135 ,select any option ,listen to the options fully ,then dial 0 .allways get through .otherwise phone mtn business during office hours .

Try using their whatsapp service on 083 123 0011... it now allows you to be transfered to a human agent. But it only works from the Manage Subscription option.
