Tapatalk

I remember seeing a warning message the other day on Tapatalk that some plugin or something is out of date and that it could cause problems.... Or something like that. Haven't seen it again though.

OK after spending a few minutes trying to figure out WTF is up with Tapatalk and MyBB, this is what I've found.

If you install Tapatalk and do not change any setting (I.e. leave it with all its default settings), it renders the carriage return properly.

However, if you change any setting, the carriage return does not render anymore and everything looks like it's on a single line like in the OP.

This is really annoying because now I can't have a dark theme or 40 posts per page or even a custom sig :( And this only affects MyBB.

Be warned, if you want to try out my test case, you'll have to clear Tapatalk app data to go back to normal. Ask me how I know :mad:
 
@efitol: agree. It's very irritating that it's only on MyBB that this problem happens
 
Always displayed that way for me, never knew it actually respected paragraphs in display.

What do you know, other forums work fine, never actually paid attention to it.

The Latest, is fine, its just when I try and see the participated list that it returns nothing. XDA and other forums are fine.

I have other issues with tapatalk on mybb (not had this one).
Bugs the hell out of me that when I am viewing latest, and I scroll to the bottom to get the next batch of latest, I get the same ones over again. Have to skip all those and go to the bottom AGAIN to see "page 2"....

I get that a lot too.
 
New subforums (Cricket and Music) are also not showing up. Very painful having to scroll through the whole of OT to find the music threads.

I wonder if any of the clever developers from MyBB read these threads?

Don't get your hopes up, from what i gather mybb has still not resolved the issue with their own version of the app. Suppose that's great for TT as that's the whole reason they have so many new clients, people got fed up with mybb's lack of giving a dam.

Personally still waiting for them to fix the mobile detection on the website, been months since i been able to use mobile view when browsing from my handset, no matter what browser i use.

The only solution I've found is: as soon as you select refresh hover you finger near the screen, as soon as it starts scrolling up tap twice and hold. You'll be close to the bottom.

It takes a bit of practice, the taps must pause for a moment. The first will pause the scroll, the second will freeze it.

Edit: actually only one tap seems required.

I get the ' 0 participated threads' bug all the time as well. Have to refresh 4-5 times to get them to show. Also get the duplicate threads in the unread posts section.

Actually its the 10 second refresh rule that the web site also have on searches. All you have to do is wait 10 seconds before you open the participated tab. I normally check the normal one 1st and after I go to participated section then it works fine.

Not really...
I get an error message if I work inside the 10 seconds. The error has an error in it though.
And why can't I upload images with tapatalk?
 
Looks like the new line character issue has been fixed! I wonder what was causing it?
